SkySurfing is a team parachuting discipline. Each team consists of two athletes: a sky surfer and a camera flyer.

The SkySurfer rides a specially designed skyboard during freefall, allowing the rider to surf through the air while sliding, spinning, and twisting. The cameraflyer records the performance with a helmet-mounted camcorder. He or she contributes to the team's overall score by performing interactively with the sky surfer using their own creative and athletic skills. Judges on the ground score the team's video for technical and performance skills.

The SkySurf team’s performance begins as soon they leave the plane at 13,000 feet. During the first 50 seconds of the 70-second freefall, both members are falling vertically at about 110-130 mph enabling them to surf the most ultimate wave ... the sky.
